<p>We are seeking an experienced Senior Civil Engineer with strong Substation project experience to lead and support civil engineering activities during the construction phase of oil &amp; gas projects. The role involves overseeing civil design implementation, resolving site technical issues, coordinating multidisciplinary interfaces, and ensuring compliance with project specifications and international standards.</p>
<p>The ideal candidate will have extensive EPC experience in substation civil works, strong construction support exposure, and the ability to manage engineering deliverables while working closely with site and client teams.</p>
<p><strong>Job Responsibilities</strong></p>
<ul><li>Lead civil engineering activities for substation facilities during the construction phase.</li><li>Review and approve civil &amp; structural drawings related to: Transformer and equipment foundations (GIS/AIS), Cable trenches and duct banks, Control room and switchgear buildings, Oil containment pits, bund walls, and drainage systems, Grading and paving within substation areas</li><li>Provide technical guidance to Civil Designers and site teams.</li><li>Review contractor shop drawings, method statements, and as-built drawings.</li><li>Resolve site technical queries (RFIs) and provide engineering clarifications.</li><li>Ensure compliance with project specifications, client standards, and international codes (ACI, BS, Eurocodes, etc.).</li><li>Perform design checks, calculations, and validation of foundations and structural elements.</li><li>Coordinate with Electrical, Structural, QA/QC, and Construction teams to ensure smooth project execution.</li><li>Monitor construction progress and ensure civil works are executed as per approved drawings.</li><li>Support material take-offs (MTO), cost estimates, and quantity verification.</li><li>Participate in site inspections and technical meetings with clients and contractors.</li><li>Ensure proper documentation control and timely submission of engineering deliverables.</li></ul>
<p><strong>Key Qualifications</strong></p>

<ul><li>Bachelors Degree in Civil Engineering (Masters degree is an advantage).</li><li>Minimum 8–12 years of experience in oil &amp; gas projects, with mandatory substation experience.</li><li>Proven experience in EPC projects supporting construction phase activities.</li><li>Strong knowledge of: Reinforced concrete design and detailing, Heavy equipment and transformer foundation design, Structural steel design, Underground utilities and drainage systems, Substation infrastructure works</li><li>Familiarity with international codes and standards (ACI, BS, Eurocodes).</li><li>Proficiency in engineering software and tools (STAAD, ETABS, SAFE – advantage).</li><li>Good knowledge of AutoCAD and review of 3D model outputs (SP3D / Civil 3D preferred).</li><li>Strong technical problem-solving skills.</li><li>Excellent communication and coordination skills.</li><li>Previous experience on ADNOC or Middle East oil &amp; gas substation projects (Preferred)</li><li>Experience managing site technical teams during construction (Preferred)</li></ul><p>VERTICAL</p><p>ENGINEERING</p>
