JOB DESCRIPTION:

We are seeking experienced and dedicated Site Inspectors to join our team. The Site Inspectors will play a crucial role in ensuring the quality and compliance of civil, pavement, and asphalt works for a specific project, with a focus on airfield infrastructure.

JOB RESPONSIBILITIES:

  1. Conduct regular inspections of civil, pavement, and asphalt works at the project site to ensure compliance with design specifications, drawings, and applicable standards.
  2. Monitor construction activities, materials, and workmanship to identify any deviations, defects, or non-conformities and take corrective actions as necessary.
  3. Implement all aspects of the quality management systems (QMS) and site supervision activities to maintain high standards of workmanship and safety.
  4. Collaborate with contractors, subcontractors, and project teams to resolve technical issues, address concerns, and ensure smooth progress of works.
  5. Review construction plans, method statements, and quality control procedures to verify their adequacy and suitability for the project requirements.
  6. Document and record all inspection findings, test results, and quality assurance activities in accordance with project documentation and reporting protocols.
  7. Assist in the coordination of material testing, laboratory analysis, and certification processes to verify compliance with project specifications and regulatory requirements.
  8. Provide technical guidance and support to construction teams and junior staff members to enhance their understanding of project requirements and quality standards.
  9. Participate in project meetings, site visits, and progress reviews to communicate inspection findings, address concerns, and ensure alignment with project objectives.
  10. Ensure strict adherence to health, safety, and environmental regulations, policies, and procedures throughout the construction activities.

QUALIFICATIONS:

  • Diploma in Civil Engineering or a related field.
  • Minimum of 7 years of experience in site supervision and inspection of civil, pavement, and asphalt works, preferably in airfield infrastructure projects.
  • Strong knowledge of construction methods, materials, and techniques related to civil engineering and pavement/asphalt works.
  • Familiarity with relevant industry standards, codes, and specifications for airfield construction and infrastructure projects.
  • Certification in quality management systems (e.g., ISO 9001) or relevant training preferred.
