We are seeking an experienced IT Change & Release Manager to lead and mature the change management and release governance framework within a major banking environment.

The successful candidate will ensure that all IT changes are managed in a controlled, auditable, and efficient manner, aligning with industry best practices and regulatory expectations.

You will play a key role in governing the end-to-end change and release lifecycle, managing Change Advisory Boards (CABs), and driving automation, standardization, and transparency through effective frameworks, templates, and dashboards.

Key Responsibilities

  • Lead the IT Change and Release Management function for a complex banking technology landscape.
  • Develop, maintain, and continuously improve the Change and Release Management Framework, including SOPs, templates, KPIs, and governance dashboards.
  • Plan, coordinate, and oversee all change activities to ensure smooth implementation with minimal business disruption.
  • Chair and manage Change Advisory Board (CAB) meetings reviewing, approving, and prioritizing change requests.
  • Establish release governance, coordinating with application, infrastructure, and project teams for controlled deployments.
  • Ensure compliance with internal IT governance policies, audit, and regulatory requirements.
  • Collaborate with IT Operations, Information Security, and Business Units to ensure risk-free and well-communicated change releases.
  • Provide regular management reports and analytics on change success rates, rollback trends, and system availability impacts.
  • Promote a culture of continuous improvement, automation, and accountability in the change and release processes.

Qualifications & Experience

  • Bachelors or Masters Degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field.
  • 10+ years of professional experience in IT service management, with a strong focus on change and release management.
  • Banking or Financial Services industry experience is mandatory.
  • Proven experience managing CABs and streamlining enterprise-level release processes.
  • Demonstrated success in designing and implementing IT change management frameworks, SOPs, templates, and performance dashboards.
  • Strong understanding of ITIL principles, IT governance, and risk management.
  • Excellent communication and stakeholder engagement skills, including C-level interaction.
  • Fluency in English is required; Arabic language proficiency is preferred.
  • Relevant certifications (e.g., ITIL v4 Expert, PMP, COBIT, ISO 20000) are highly desirable.

Key Competencies

  • Strategic and analytical thinker with strong problem-solving abilities.
  • Detail-oriented and structured approach to governance.
  • Strong interpersonal and leadership skills.
  • Ability to work in high-pressure, fast-paced banking environments.
  • Culturally aware, collaborative, and adaptable.

Why Join Us

  • Be part of a leading financial institution driving IT governance transformation.
  • Lead initiatives that directly impact banking stability, compliance, and innovation.
  • Competitive compensation and benefits aligned with market standards.
  • Opportunity to work with cross-functional teams and global partners.
