BIM MANAGER (Dubai)

Report To :  Project Director

Job Responsibilities (Key Result Areas)

 

  • The BIM Manager establishes the proper BIM procedures and methods for the organisation, Programmes and Projects.

  • Ensures that the Contractors’ BIM processes serve the engineering and business requirements for managing multi-discipline collaborative workflows and BIM Uses.

  • Ensures that tools and processes are properly used in order to comply with the standards in place and Customer Requirements.

  • Coordinates IT solutions required to deliver the Projects.

  • Determines training needs, and organises training when required.

  • Coordinates the agreed standards and ensures compliance with those standards and methods.

Qualifications/Education/Experience/Training : 

 

  • A degree in Engineering, Construction Management, or Architecture, or equivalent.

  • Extensive BIM transitioning experience in multi-disciplinary companies; architecture and engineering advantageous.

  • Competent with following software applications; Autodesk Revit, Navisworks, TEKLA, Microstation, Excel, MS Project and MS Word

  • Demonstrate effective written and verbal English language communication skills.

BIM COORDINATOR (Dubai - Doha)

Report To :  Project Director

Role And Responsibilities:

  • Provide updates to weekly and monthly BIM reports on status of Contractor and supply chain activities and performance.

  • Monitor and coordinate the development of post-contract BIM Execution Plan (BEP) and associated appendices.

  • Plan, manage and record BIM guided tours, BEP workshops, discipline specific workshops coordination and progress meetings.

  • Manage the BIM process such that the highest quality of deliverables are submitted for reviews.

  • Manage and ensure project MEP & Systems BIM’s are delivered as per agreed deliverable register and dates.

  • Perform QA/QC for WIP and milestone BIM package submissions in accordance with Project standards.

  • Level of Detail (LOD) and Asset Information Model (AIM) requirements.

  • Monitor and report on the development of an acceptable interference free / coordinated BIMs

  • Prepare own discipline model and/or content for internal BIM review/coordination meetings.

  • Collaborate and coordinate with Project delivery team design-changes and model challenges.

  • Provide hands-on BIM software training for internal Design and Construction disciplines.

  • Perform reviews and support the Project delivery team to improve the quality of BIM/Design outputs.

  • Validate and export BIM data to design schedules for internal Design or Commercial activities.

  • Prepare validation reports for submissions highlighting Project BIM delivery, structure, geometry, COBie data, design clashes and 2D output accuracy.

  • Monitor and ensure accuracy of 4D BIM Construction sequence / progress reporting through 4D comparisons.

  • Monitor and report on the utilization of Field BIM applications during Construction activities.

  • Audit site installation to ensure compliance against coordinated BIMs.

  • Audit and validate accuracy of project As-built BIMs.

  • Manage and ensure AIM is electronically tagged with the H&S files and O&M manuals on CDE.

  • Manage the integration process of AIM with Employers Asset Management System.

  • Manage training for maintenance teams to integrate AIM.

Requirements:

 

  • Minimum Bachelor’s Degree in MEP or Systems.

  • Minimum 5 years’ experience in Design and Construction in the capacity of BIM Engineer.

  • Minimum 5 years’ experience in BIM Implementation on Major Projects or Programme.

  • Experience in either a Consultant or Contractor environment ideally for Transportation Projects.

  • Experience with British BIM Standards PAS1192 and BS1192.

  • Proficient in a range of BIM authoring and proprietary software applications such as: Revit, Civil 3D, Navisworks, VICO Cost, Synchro, BIM 360 Field or similar applications.

  • Middle East/Gulf Countries experience preferred but not essential.

Key Elements

 

  • British BIM Standards PAS1192 and BS1192.

  • Quality assurance compliance and validation.

Additional Requirements

 

  • Possess excellent English written skills.

  • Possess excellent oral communication skills with an ability to form effective relationships with Client, Project team and Contractor under time pressure.

  • Able to write technical instructions and develop analytical reports for Senior Management.

BIM MODELLER (Dubai - Doha)

Report To :  Project Director

Job Responsibilities (Key Result Areas):

  • Performing engineering evaluations, feasibility studies, conceptual and final design, cost estimates, and engineering calculations.

  • Researching, planning, designing and developing sustainable mechanical systems, including but not limited to HVAC, plumbing and ELV systems.

  • Preparing of mechanical engineering calculations in support of systems design.

  • Evaluating and analyzing statistical data, customer design proposals, specifications and manuals to determine feasibility of design or application.

  • Evaluating design drawings and calculations for HVAC, plumbing components, piping and mechanical systems to satisfy target requirements throughout the design process and contribute to content and direction.

  • Interfacing and working with clients in a professional manner to achieve project goals.

     

 

To be successful in this dynamic opportunity, we envision that you will bring a minimum of 5 years' of experience in HVAC design, partnered with a Bachelor Degree in Mechanical Engineering or related discipline.

 

Experience in HVAC design tools such as AutoCAD and BIM Software such as Revit MEP.

QA/QC MANAGER (Dubai)

Report To :  Head of Quality & Customer Satisfaction Middle East Region

Job Purpose

The objective of the Quality Assurance Manager is to ensure compliance to the company policies, processes, instructions included within the quality management system while ensuring the delivery of high quality products which meets internal quality criteria as well as customer contractual requirements.

 

As a member of the project core team, working in synchronization with the Project manager, but in total independence reporting to the Middle East Quality Direction, as well as functionally on the appropriate head of Business Line quality department. 

 

Qualifications/Education/Experience/Training : 

 

  • Bachelor’s Degree in a relevant engineering field (Electronics/ Telecommunication, / Instrumentation / Mechatronics / Electrical)

  • Qualifications in Quality Management and ISO9001 auditing (lead Auditor Certified).

  • Familiar with the MS Office & Visio

 

Job Responsibilities (Key Result Areas)

 

Ensure that the Solution delivered to the Customer comply with both Customer requirements and with the applicable standards and regulations, with the required level of Quality:

  • Analyse Customer Quality requirements, insure the implementation of the Quality Plan.

    • Evaluating the requirements of a Contract and to identify the tailoring of the project process baseline, including mandatory gate checklists to be performed.

    • Support and verify tailoring activities and their result in the relevant existing documentation.

    • Supporting the Program Manager, System Engineering Manager and core bid/project team in tailoring and applying processes.

    • Verify the process implementation.

  • Ensure that the Quality Plan covers the overall necessary arrangements to comply with standards, regulations and laws, in particular for Environment, Health and Safety matters:

    • Insure the execution of the project quality assurance plan.

    • Establishing the quality objectives/criteria for each of the project gates.

  • Lead the Quality Assurance activities including supplier quality Assurance to ensure the Solution is in line with Customer expectations, contractual requirements, quality standards and with the risks mitigation objectives.

  • Supply the data resulting from audits, return and customer complaints, alert and veto right, to ensure the reporting, to prevent the risks.

  • Approve or make sure of the formal approval of the conformity of products and to be in charge of the follow-up of the complaints of the customers.

  • Contribute as required to project reviews:

    • Evaluating the products (documentation, software and hardware) to be delivered by ensuring product conformity throughout the development, including the execution of agreed tests.

    • Raising alerts and ensuring corrective actions are in place by working with the Project Manager or relevant stakeholders.

  • On demand from the Customer or its delegates, listen to customer requests and concerns and report these concerns through the right paths within the organisation.
